Regardless of your skill level, join us for a photography and post processing workshop where we will be visiting beautiful Des Moines vantage points, exploring parks and gardens as well as experiencing the city lights by night. In addition to fundamentals, we’ll be covering Panoramic and High Dynamic Range (HDR) techniques in both the field and post processing sessions.
Where: Des Moines, Iowa – focused on downtown and surrounding areas
When: Friday – Sunday, August 10-12, 2018
Group Size: We’re only accepting 8 participants. Keeping the group small will give us adequate elbowroom on location and allow for those desiring 1-on-1 coaching more time with us in the field. Smaller groups are simply better. You learn more, we’re more agile, and able to move and react to our whims and the weather.
Cost: $400 (A nonrefundable down payment of $250 is due at registration. The remainder is due 21 days before the workshop.)
Tentative Itinerary: We will be waking up early for sunrise each day and will shoot as long as the light is good in the morning before breaking for lunch. We’ll do some post processing instruction after lunch, and/or if weather is bad. Then we’ll likely grab an early dinner before going to shoot sunset. If skies are favorable, we’ll stay out for some night photography before turning in at the hotel for the evening.
By limiting the number of workshop participants, we were so fortunate to get all the attention of Josh and Justin. You guys really bent over backwards to teach and help us.
I was very happy with the workshop and all the new knowledge I gained. Your technical knowledge and explanation was very beneficial. I thought the locations you brought us to were stellar!
The post-processing instruction and time spent were terrific!
